
Bio
Preciosa Aivles is a dedicated costume designer, technician, and wardrobe supervisor with experience spanning numerous theatrical productions. She has designed, constructed, and supervised costumes for theater companies, educational institutions, and festivals. Her work has been seen at the Houston Shakespeare Festival, University of Houston, and Stages Theater Company where she has contributed as a designer, assistant designer, stitcher, dresser, and wardrobe supervisor.
Her recent credits include Assistant Costume Designer for Alls Well That Ends Well and The Moors (University of Houston) and Costume Designer for Safe at Home (University of Houston) and Assistant Costume Designer for Panto Pinocchio (Stages Houston). She has also served as Wardrobe Supervisor for productions such as The Wolves, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream, and Much Ado About Nothing. In addition, she has worked extensively in technical production, including costume alterations, distressing, dyeing, and embellishments.
Preciosa has collaborated with directors such as Jack Young, Brandon Weinbrener, Sophia Watt, and Phillip Hayes, as well as designers Leah Smith, Jodi Daniels-Tannahill, and Barbara Niederer. Her expertise extends beyond costume production, having worked as a youth supervisor for musical productions like Sweeney Todd and Cinderella.
With a strong foundation in both design and costume technology, Preciosa is completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Production with an emphasis in Costume Technology & Design at the University of Houston, where she continues to refine her craft. She brings a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling through costume, and a commitment to creating visually compelling and functional designs.
